Sotogrande is within easy driving distance of Marbella, Estepona, and Gibraltar as well as the world famous golf courses at Valderrama and San Roque.

Within Sotogrande lies the Guadiaro estuary, with a protected natural area of 27 hectares of marshland on the west bank of the estuary at the mouth of the River Guadiaro. It is of particular interest to birdwatchers but anybody can enjoy a stroll along the wooden walkways. Sotogrande has something for everyone. For some it’s a sport - sailing, golfing, tennis or polo paradise and for others it’s a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the fabulous surroundings. Either way, it deserves a visit to see it for yourself.

As well as its beauty, Sotogrande is home to two of Europe's top golf courses, the Sotogrande Old Course and Valderrama which was home to the 1997 Ryder Cup and hosts The Volvo Masters. In the port is the beach club of El Octogono where visitors have access to the swimming pools, bars and restaurants. There is an adults only area as well as a children's area with its own pool where all kinds of activities are arranged to amuse the kids. This is the best and safest place for trying out new watersports such as waterskiing, jetskiing, sailing with excellent supervision. The Cucurucho beach club offers similar facilities.
