The annual average temperature is around 21°C, with over 300 days sunshine a year - the Costa del Sol is really an all round holiday destination. This region boasts numerous golf courses, tennis clubs, equestrian centres, sailing clubs, beaches, restaurants the list goes on.

Inland from the terrific beaches and ports, with their fantastic range of restaurants and shops, you can explore the natural beauty of the Andalucian countryside and Sierra Nevada mountains, Moorish towns, parks, lakes and gorges, all there for you to explore. For the more adventurous, see the sights by hot air balloon or on horseback, or try your hand at abseiling, white water rafting or canoeing. For those who enjoy golf there are numerous courses up to world class standards (see the list on the left).

For those seeking authentic Spain there are the 'pueblos blancos'(white towns) of Manilva and Casares, as well as the beautiful mountain town of Ronda, split by an impressive gorge. For some the main areas of attraction are the many bars and clubs in Puerto Banus and Marbella.

The Costa del Sol does not forget children. If they have had enough of the pool and beach, entertainment is never far away. There is a Sea Life Centre, and several water and amusement parks are scattered along the coast. For families there are theme parks, go-karting, a safari park and many beautiful public gardens and lovely marinas such as La Duquesa.

Also don't forget that trip to Gibraltar - great for duty free shopping, an unbeatable view from the top of the Rock (with the famous monkeys), astonishing caves, British Military history and unforgettable whale and dolphin-watching boat trips - a memorable day out.
